Janja Ivančan is a member of the ensemble since 1976, and its long-term solo performer. In the gallery of the ensemble’s outstanding solo performers, after the era of Anđela Potočnik, Janja Ivančan takes a special place, in her number of solo performances, as well as in the scope of her work, and the characters she interpreted with her agile, strong and lyrical voice.

It is this adaptability of her voice, which changed with ease according to the demands of the performance, that was her greatest virtue.

Aunt Liza or Elizabeta Toplak is a traditional artist - singer from Donja Dubrava in Međimurje. Arrangements for the LADO ensemble orchestra were written by the orchestra director Alan Kanski.

Honoring the author Lubo Stipišić, winner of Lifetime Achievement Porin award, LADO ensemble re-recorded and published this album.

U počast autoru Ljubi Stipišiću, dobitniku glazbene nagrade PORIN za životno djelo, Ansambl LADO ponovno je snimio i izdao ovaj album.

As we have been cooperating with the conductor and ethnomusicologist Joško Ćaleta, KALVARIJA went through certain changes in the musical sense. J. Ćaleta adapted this work to come closer to the original sound of people’s signers on the islands of Central Dalmatia.
